Two weeks ago, Simon Fraser University announced its new partnership with Vancouver-based mining corporation GoldCorp. Known for its poor human rights and environmental record throughout Latin America, student organizers call it the tip of the iceberg. Below the surface, there are multiple different forms of accelerated privatization on campus. Nicholas Perrin is an organizer with the Teaching Support Staff Union and Communications grad student at SFU.
