Five Minutes for Fish Lake: What you can do to help protect Tetzan Biny

Received this from a trusted ally today... Here's some things you can do to help protect Fish Lake.
1. The Globe and Mail has a poll on whether the feds should approve Prosperity Mine, and we're losing. The poll will be up until tomorrow morning. The link is: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/british-columbia/natives-ta...
2. There's a petition you can sign at http://www.protectfishlake.ca/petition.php
3. Write to government officials. You can do that on this site (http://org2.democracyinaction.org/o/5139/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY...) or send the form letter below from your email to these addresses: pm@pm.gc.ca, Minister@ec.gc.ca, info@ceaa-acee.gc.ca, EMPR.Minister@gov.bc.ca, Barry.Penner@gov.bc.ca.

Sample letter:
I am writing to urge you to reject Taseko Mines Ltd.’s proposed “Prosperity” mine that would destroy B.C.’s beautiful Fish Lake. The lake is home to more than 80,000 rainbow trout, and is surrounded by cultural sites including First Nations burial grounds.
Your federal environmental assessment review panel has clearly outlined the “significant and adverse impacts” that Taseko’s gold and copper mine would have both on the environment and on First Nations rights and title.
The proposed open-pit mine is on the traditional lands of the Xeni Gwet’in First Nation, a member of the Tsilhqot’in National Government, which won a court case recognizing its rights to the area.
The Xeni Gwet’in First Nation, the Tsilhqot’in National Government and the Assembly of First Nations have all indicated their staunch opposition to this project.
I urge you to close the loophole in the federal Fisheries Act that allows metal mining corporations to destroy Canadian lakes in order to dispose of the millions of tonnes of waste rock and tailings they generate.
Please heed the findings of your environmental assessment review panel and reject Taseko’s mine proposal for Fish Lake.

glob and mall poll
The poll is STILL OPEN as of Monday morning, and what's worse, there was a sudden and suspicious leap of almost 3000 votes overnight in support of the mine. The mining lobby is obviously hard at work on this.
Please try to vote NO ASAP. thanks.
