Stop Pacific Trails Pipeline Dinner and Presentation

5:00pm
Sunday April 22 2012
- 12:05am
Monday April 23 2012

Venue: 706 E Georgia (at Clark)
Cost: By Donation $5-$50
Accessibility: few stairs into venue

A dinner featuring video and spoken presentations. All proceeds from this event will go to an autonomous direct action fighting fund against the Pacific Trails Pipeline (PTP).

The PTP would transport natural gas from fracking in north eastern BC to the Kitimat LNG terminal for export to Asian markets. The PTP is the ‘trail blazer’ project for other pipelines, such as the ‘Enbridge Northern gateway Project’ further fueling ecocide in Northern Alberta, increasing ocean oil tanker traffic and threatening the entire coastal region.

In Wet’suwet’en territory (northern BC) the Unist’tot’en Clan and ‘Lhe Lin Liyin’
(Wet’suwet’en for ‘Guardians’)  are resisting the destruction of  their land, water and way of life.

In Whitehorse, Prince George and Vancouver on Dec 9, 2011, autonomous rebels expressed solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en in their opposition to the PTP.  We will continue to expand this resistance and stand with those that  defend the land.

Gather at five for dinner and presentations and we welcome people to stay for tea and cookies to mingle, discuss, and plan where we can go from here.
