Multimedia, speakers and discussion

The last two weeks have signaled a deepening of the “State of War” in Syria, as the US, EU and NATO manoeuvre to find the best way to continue their campaign of destabilization against Syria. For the last 16 months the people of Syria have suffered under the effects of foreign intervention, covert and overt attacks, sanctions and threats of direct foreign military intervention in Syria. The government of Canada has joined in this march towards war, imposing sanctions against Syria and standing with other colonial powers in the call for the President of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, to step-down.

Join MAWO to discuss the roots and reality of Syria today and how peace-loving people in Canada should respond to these attacks.

Featuring speakers:
>> Janine Solanki~ Co-chair of Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO)
>> Ali Yerevani ~ Political editor of the Fire This Time Newspaper, social justice and antiwar organizer, organizer and co-founder with Iranian Communities Against War (ICAW), and participant of 1979 Iranian revolution
