A 45-minute film screening will be followed by a discussion. Positive Women: Exposing Injustice is a new documentary about four positive women, who bravely speak out about HIV and criminalization in Canada.
What happens if a woman does not disclose her HIV-positive status to a sexual partner? How does criminalization impact HIV-positive women in Canada? How do women feel about their experience with the criminal law with respect to HIV non-disclosure?
These are important questions in light of the recent Supreme Court of Canada decision about the non-disclosure of HIV between sex partners.
