One week after the rezoning hearing for 611 Main there is another hearing for another major 15-storey condo tower right next door. The gentrification threat is the same as with 611 Main but this project does not include any social housing at all. If all these condos are approved and built the rate of condo to social housing development will be 51 to 1. City policy says that condos and social housing should be built at a similar pace.
