******VERY SORRY TO ALL WHO HAD MARKED OFF THEIR CALENDARS- WE WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN THIS EVENING IS RESCHEDULED!****** ~@~

We are grateful to announce this event that is occurring on unceded, stolen Coast Salish land, which includes Tsleil-watuth, Stó:lo, Skxwú7mesh-ulh Úxwumixw and Musqueam Territory (as far as we know- please let us know if we've gotten this wrong).
-- PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A TICKETED EVENT --

Community Dinner and an Art Show. Please come and celebrate this Community dinner and art show to raise funds for the Unis'tot'en Resistance Community and all grassroots Wet'suwet'en peoples who are on the front lines battling pipelines, corporations, industry and colonization. They're actively building an off-grid community as they are blockading the road into their land, and we stand in solidarity with this battle for autonomous indigenous earth defense.

You can pick up a ticket from the organizers, please email newyearbash@riseup.net or message the Stolen Lands Facebook page to pick up a ticket (pickups can also happen at Spartacus Books on Mondays between 10am and 2pm or other weekday/weekend times, just email us)*

Your ticket includes:
-Dinner, dessert, drinks and awesome evening of resistance.
-Food which can hopefully accommodate most or all dietary needs (please get in touch with us if you have specific dietary needs and we will do our best to feed you!)
-Information and updates on the Unis'tot'en

Well over a dozen artists have responded to the callout for art to raise funds for the Unis'tot'en, and all this art will be displayed and for sale on this night, along with patches, zines, and tshirts.

We will also be holding a raffle with some AMAZING prizes!
Tickets for the raffle will be very affordable, so bring loonies and quarters (or pennies, if you really want to get rid of them).

We do not put on these events lightly, and we actively fight in our every day lives to recognize the ways we are colonized under the imperial and capitalist systems and government. We recognize the present day colonization and assimilation of communities, which is happening through systemic racism and the perpetuation of laws that discriminate and marginalize. We are trying to understand what it means to be settlers on this land, and see the corporations and the illegitimate government as a common enemy of all those struggling for earth liberation and sovereignty. The destruction and pillage of the earth is the destruction and pillage of all people living on the earth (except those rich enough to live on the moon).

Against resource extraction, industrial invasion, colonialism, oppression of assimilation, bankers, and capitalism!
