In a letter written to the Free the Cuban 5 Committee-Vancouver by
Cuban 5 Hero Rene González in May 2013, upon his release to Cuba from
the U.S., he stated, "The day we are all together then my family and
myself will celebrate and rest. But for now, for us the struggle
continues." The Free the Cuban 5 Committee-Vancouver would like to
invite you to join René, the Cuban 5 family members, the people of
Cuba and groups and individuals around the world to demand:

WHO ARE THE 5 CUBAN HEROES?
Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González
and René González, also known as the Cuban 5, are currently serving
outrageously long sentences, including even a double-life sentence
plus fifteen years, in the United States. They were wrongly accused
and convicted in a U.S. Federal Court of “conspiracy to commit
espionage” and other fabricated charges. The 5 were actually unarmed
men involved in monitoring Miami-based terrorist organizations, which
since 1959 have been responsible for the deaths of over 3,400 people
in Cuba, including one resident of Canada, Fabio di Celmo, in 1997.
Through their important work, these 5 men were able to prevent further
deaths in Cuba.

En una carta escrita al Comité de Vancouver por la Liberación de los
Cinco por el Héroe René González en mayo de 2013, luego de ser
liberado y que le permitieran regresar a Cuba, declaró, “El día qu

descansaremos. Pero por ahora, la lucha continúa para nosotros.” El

¿QUIÉNES SON LOS CINCO HÉROES CUBANOS?
Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González
y René González, más conocidos como los Cinco, están en estos momentos
cumpliendo escandalosas sentencias incluyendo dos cadenas perpetuas
más quince años. Fueron injustamente juzgados y condenados en la Corte
Federal de Estados Unidos por “conspiración para cometer espionaje” y
otras acusaciones fabricadas.Los Cinco eran realmente hombres
desarmados que se encontraban monitoreando las organizaciones
terroristas albergadas en Miami, que desde 1959 han sido responsables
de la muerte de más de 3400 personas en Cuba, incluyendo un residente
en Canadá, Fabio di Celmo, en 1997. A través de su importante trabajo,
