Almost a year after the BP Gulf oil spill, the images of the disaster will be forever emblazoned on our minds. Did you know that BC could be at risk of a major oil spill accident too? Come hear personal accounts from people impacted by spills from the Gulf of Mexico to Michigan, and find out how you can protect our coastline from similar tragedies.

7PM-9PM, January 20th.
St. James Community Hall (3214 W 10th Ave.)

Panelists:
Tracy Kuhns, Louisiana Bayoukeeper (Louisiana)
Mike Roberts, Commercial Fisher (Louisiana)
Beth Wallace, National Wildlife Federation (Michigan)
Kyle Clifton, Gitga'at Nation (Hatley Bay, BC)

Welcome by MP Joyce Murray - Presentations followed by Q&A.

Enbridge's Northern Gateway Pipeline project would stretch twin pipelines from Alberta to the BC coast and introduce more than 200 oil tankers a year to BC's fragile northern waters. The BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and Enbridge's own oil disaster in Michigan are painful reminders that oil is not safe on land or water.
