Sutikalh Dinner Benefit

It takes a community to stop a ski resort! Solidarity with Indigenous resistance.

6:00pm
Thursday February 24 2011

Venue: Dogwood Centre
Address: 706 Clark Dr.
Cost: $10-20

Come down to the Dogwood for an evening of celebration and solidarity with the St'at'mic land reoccupation, Sutikalh (Home of the Winter Spirit). On May 2, 2000, members of the St'at'imc nation and their allies established a permanent camp near Melvin Creek, located off Highway 99 between Mt. Currie/Pemberton and Lillooet, in the southern Interior region of BC.

Sutikalh was set up to stop the construction of a ski resort on their traditional territory and to encourage a stronger relationship to the land and traditional ways of life.

This dinner is to support construction projects at the site.

Dinner will be a delicious feast of salmon, deer and more.
