Join us for a night of animated and critical discussion, as we examine the role of police in maintaining “law and order" at this free public forum on policing, prejudice and the criminalization of poverty.

Guest Speakers:
Michael Vonn: Policy Director of BC Civil Liberties Association
&
John Carlsen: Survivor of police brutality

The police claim to serve and protect all of society, but the law is not enforced evenly and the state employs coercive force in an arbitrary and disproportionate fashion based on race and economic status.

At this free public forum we'll be exploring these issues, examining patterns of arrest, use of force, and the targeting of poor communities.
