Rally in Support of Bradley Manning

11:00am
Sunday March 20 2011

Address: U.S. Consulate 1095 W. Pender Street

» More information

Pfc. Bradley Manning, the alleged Wikileaks informant, has been in solitary confinement for over 280 days. The conditions he is forced to endure are degrading and easily categorized as torture. Yet, he has never been convicted of a crime. Fundamentally, he is being punished while awaiting trial which is in violation of Article 13 of the UCMJ (US Army).

If Bradley Manning did leak this information, he is responsible for revealing to the world such atrocities as observed in the famous Collateral Murder video: http://www.collateralmurder.com/. Given the information that has come to light via Wikileaks, it is clear that the criminal case of Bradley Manning must also consider whether he viewed and exposed war crimes. While some may disagree with the leaking of this information, even Wikileaks detractors are speaking out and calling the treatment of Bradley Manning shameful.

Perhaps even more shocking is that the American public is largely unaware of Bradley Manning. This event hopes to raise awareness of Bradley Manning and to speak out against the torture to which he is subject at the hands of the U.S. military. Please join us for an international day of support for Bradley Manning on March 20th. This event is in conjunction with several other international events including the rally at Quantico.
