Over the last few weeks, several US journalists planning to report on the anti-Olympics protests in Vancouver were denied entry to Canada. Some, like Martin Macias Jr., were extensively interrogated about their political affiliations and personal lives. This demonstrates how the border is routinely used to document and suppress political dissent. Reporter Liam Nauska went to Portland to talk with others who say they were unlawfully detained by the FBI and Customs and Border Protection.
