As the U.S. war in Afghanistan entered its tenth year, more than two hundred demonstrators from several anti-war groups gathered in downtown Seattle this past weekend. The rally featured a dozen speakers plus the Seattle Labor Chorus, and was followed by a march to Pioneer Square and back. Most of the afternoon shoppers who watched from the sidewalk, nodded in support. The activists’ message was loud and clear: it is time to blow the whistle on war and occupation in the Middle East. Community Radio KBCS has this story from the scene.
