Day 12 of the South Fraser Protection Camp

The election is over, and the camp is starting to become more functional as an organizing space. Never a better time to dust off the old expression ‘Don’t mourn, organize!’
Over the weekend, an enthusiastic crew of volunteers built an information booth in front of the camp and a covered meeting area near the river, we also started on a new kitchen tent and media center. Over the next few days we plan to complete both of these and make other changes to make the camp more comfortable and functional.
Come for a visit and plant a tree, stay for a short time, or camp for a while. Bring food or supply contributions if you like, but most importantly, just come.
The site is easy to reach. The main entrance is on River Road, Delta, just west of Brooke Road (10675 River Rd), - look for the signs and banners. Drive, bike from SkyTrain, or catch the #640 bus from Scott Rd SkyTrain station (or if westbound, from Ladner Exchange). Our Info Line is 604.355.2771, or call 604.588.4203.
