Public forum -- The Accountability Gap: Canadian Mining in Mexico (and beyond)

Doors open at 6:30 pm for public reception / panel discussion at 7 pm.

Join us for a lively discussion on the impact Canadian mining companies are having on communities in Mexico and elsewhere in the world, and what can be done about it.

Featured guest speakers:

Alejandra Ancheita is a well know human rights lawyer in Mexico with extensive experience representing human rights issues before national and international tribunals. She will describe the challenges Mexican communities and workers face at the hands of Canadian mining companies, and the lack of accountability.

Emily Dwyer, from the Canadian Network on Corporate Accountability, will present on the international accountability gaps that exist with respect to the overseas operations of Canadian mining companies.
