The Hogan's Alley Poetry Festival 2013 will be commemorating one of the first Black communities in Vancouver-Coast Salish Territory from September 27-29, 2013.
Although Hogan's Alley itself was demolished in the early 70's by the construction of the Georgia Viaduct, the stories of this community live on through our elders, artists, youth, historians, and many more community members from the African Diaspora.
We would love for you to join us!
For a schedule of events, visit the Hogan's Alley Poetry Festival page, or check out http://blackdotcollective.org/hogans-alley-poetry-festival for more info. Events will all take place at various locations in the Strathcona neighborhood.
