Join us for a special evening of poetry, live music and the Vancouver
premiere of the Cuban feature film HABANASTATION!

Cuba's official entry to the 84th Academy Awards, HABANASTATION traces
the lives of two Cuban classmates with different upbringings. 12 year
old Mayito possesses a much sought after Playstation 3 thanks to his
famous jazz musician father who brings one back from a tour abroad.
His classmate Carlos has never even seen a Playstation, and resents
the teasing he receives from Mayito and other classmates because of
this.

A unforeseen turn of events at the May 1st rally in Havana forces
Mayito to seek Carlos' help in unfamiliar territory, and what follows
is an unforgettable journey of discovery through one of the world’s
most fascinating cities.

Featuring actors from La Colmenita, Cuba's world famous children's
theatre group!
