Award-winning author Derrick Jensen would consider the label "uncivilized" a compliment. But then, he's not your garden-variety California environmentalist. The author of Endgame and A Language Older Than Words is a vehement anti-capitalist and outspoken anti-authoritarian, but he refuses to be categorized as either an anarchist or a socialist.

Jensen's latest collaboration is Deep Green Resistance. The book began as a series of workshops and developed into a movement that challenges mainstream environmentalists to drop the silly stunts and take up decisive tactics.

"This book is about fighting back. And this book is about winning." – Derrick Jensen, in the preface to Deep Green Resistance.
