It is alarming to find a Mr Steve Ellis as president of CEC. Mr Ellis was one of three managers heavily criticised by The Royal Commission of Enquiry into the Pike River Coalmine disaster. on NZ's west coast in 2010. 29 men died in a mine operation that was in a very dangerous state and despite multiple verbal warnings, and electronic warnings the mine continued to operate until it exploded. Mr Ellis was seen to be incompetent by his peers, and had failed his mine managers certificate several times, only to finally have it granted in NZ under lax regulations. He is not fit to be in control of human life.Be warned
