February 15th 2010 marked Day One of the Olympic Tent City Campaign under the slogan "No More Empty Talk, No More Empty Lots". Housing, poverty and First Nations activists gathered at PIgeon Park in Vancouver's downtown eastside to protest the lack of affordable/social housing, gentrification, the criminalization of the poor and No Olympics On Stolen Native Land in Vancouver, BC. After a brief march, the activists took to an empty lot to set up tents where they will remain as long as they can.
