VANCOUVER - More than 500 people snaked through downtown Vancouver tonight as part of Casseroles Night in Canada. The marchers banged on pots, pans, trays, and whatever else was on hand to make noise in support of the Quebec student uprising.

Communities across the country are participating and some have started nightly casseroles protests to show support for the fight in Quebec that started against tuition hikes, crushing student debt, and the repressive Bill 78 against dissent.
