About 100 people braved an intense downpour on Saturday May 7th to take part in a Mothers Day march down Commercial Drive.
Organized by a group of low-income single mothers of colour and their allies, the march highlighted the real demands that low-income mothers have. These demands are not for and cannot be appeased by state charity.
Marchers started at Woodland Park and walked down a good part of Commercial Drive, stopping at intersections along the way.
