VANCOUVER - Parents, kids and supporters gather outside the new Hastings Street library site. The early morning demonstration at the City-owned site was to push for social housing to be built atop the new library complex. The original library plans on a different site included social housing units. The City now says it would consider but not guarantee a housing component.
