VANCOUVER - Faced with an injunction from the City, the citizens of Occupy Vancouver moved out today - and set up a new camp one block away.
The new site is outside the provincial courthouse at Robson and Howe, and Occupiers say the provincially-owned land means it will take a different injunction to move them. Many of the tents have now been set up under partial cover in the courthouse complex.
The City had a court injuntion with a 2pm deadline for Occupy Vancouver to vacate the park ouside the Vancouver Art Gallery. Much of the site and belongings were packed up and taken by truck to a storage facility provided by local organized labour.
