New library at Spartacus

Original Peoples, →Canadian Foreign Policy, →Environment, →Dominion Stories, →2010 Olympics

A library is starting up in Spartacus Books, located at 684 E Hastings in Vancouver – an Unceded Coast Salish Territory.

We open this library with the intention to share in the most free and collective ways we find possible in the context of struggles against various forms of exploitation: patriarchy, colonization, racism, capitalism...

If there are people inspired by this project who would like to participate directly, or indirectly with their time (come by and help organize or reflect on how to use the space together), resource sharing (contacts, computer programs, past experiences with collective libraries, etc...), material investments(books, booklets, zines, CDs, DVDs or anything else you would like to see in this library...), get in contact with us at
