Vancouver Coast Salish Territories -- A group of concerned citizens and members of the Agriculture workers Alliance, No One is Illegal, Commercial Workers Union, and the Coalition for Migrant Workers Justice, gathered today M.P. Wai Young's office to deliver a letter of concern about Bill-C31, a Bill which has been deemed as an overt systematic form of discrimination, as well as a violation of the human rights of refugees & migrant workers in Canada.

The group, comprised of about 40 people, were not welcomed by the M.P.'s office assistants who refused to open their doors to receive the letter. The event took place at 10AM, during their office hours, and several constituents of the South Vancouver area were present. Frustrated, some concerned citizens submitted the letter under the door as well as it was posted with some posters and messages on the windows of the office.

The rally took place in solidarity with several other rallies happening across the country, in an effort to bring Members of Parliament to take action against Bill C-31.
