This is a one-minute video made in BC for a competition organized by enoughproject.org to raise awareness about conflict minerals coming out of the Congo. The goal is to put pressure on manufacturers to clean up supply chains connected with controversially-mined materials that go into many of our every day technologies--computers, cell phones, etc. To the point and powerful, it's a lovely little example of the interconnection of global conflict and Canadian society, as well as our oft-neglected daily implication in these intricate conflicts.
Healy and Weber were just selected today as one of three finalists in the competition! Congratulations, boys!
