“Indigenous women from the Squamish Nation in the Squamish Valley are calling for all people to march in solidarity with them and the Squamish People on March 29th, 2015 to send a message that we want a healthy Howe Sound full of life.”

Their message is clear: No Woodfibre LNG in the Howe Sound.

This event is lead by women from the Squamish Nation in the Squamish Valley to call on all people’s everywhere to stand with the Squamish People in the protection of the Salish Sea from all political leadership. This march is an opportunity for all First Nations and Non-First Nations people to support the Squamish People in defending their territory.”-       http://www.skwomeshaction.org/In response to this powerful call out for solidarity and rage against slimy industry a group of fearsome queers took to the streets on March 29th on Unceded Lekwungen Territories. Carrying a banner reading SOLIDARITY WITH SKWOMESH ACTION, and sharing endless fliers and glitter forever, this group made a ruckus all along the streets of the downtown core. Chanting NO ORDER NO PEACE FUCK LNG and RESIST, FIGHT BACK, WE WILL NOT LET THEM FRACK, they caused an enormous traffic jam on a main artery in the city. Cars piled up behind them, honking, adding noise and excitement to the group of finely dressed and fierce queers who held the streets for blocks and blocks.“ We march with Skwomesh Action to resist the ongoing industrial development of their territories by Woodfiber LNG and illegal governments by disrupting business as usual on the territories where we struggle.
