Over 400 rally against Israel aggression and violence towards the humanitarian aid flotilla.
The Vancouver rally coincides with thousands of similar rallies around the world as media and countries become more aware of the aggressive violence of Israel against the humanitarian aid flotilla for the people of Gaza.
Speeches began in front of the Canadian Federal Government building at the Vancouver Public Library Square. Guest speakers included Harsha Wallia and the rallying cries heard were "no Israel apartheid" and "free Palestine"!
Approximately 20 police were on hand to help direct and block traffic as the rally/protest began heading down Georgia Street west towards Burrard where it turned south to Nelson Street. It continued to Granville and eventually concluded back at the Vancouver Public Library Square on Robson Street.
There the peace choir sang songs of solidarity as protesters/rally attendees and organizers concluded with songs, chants and discussions.
