This morning in the capital of the Araucanía (IX Region) other three inmates would have joined the eleven Mapuche who continue to hold the measure of pressure in Angol and Chol Chol. Meanwhile, the strikers will meet again with Archbishop Ezzati and their spokespeople will do the same tomorrow with the president of the Supreme Court. Three Mapuche Imprisoned in Temuco would Join Hunger Strikers in Angol

This morning in the capital of the Araucanía (IX Region) other three inmates were to join the eleven Mapuche who continue to hold the measure of pressure in Angol and Chol Chol. Meanwhile, the strikers will meet again with Archbishop Ezzati and their spokespeople will do the same tomorrow with the president of the Supreme Court. "I do not know how much more I will resist," said Rodrigo Huenchullán, one of the protesters.

The hunger strike held by a group of Mapuche prisoners is becoming more complicated. Three other inmates of the jail in Temuco would have joined  the eleven community members who continue with the measure in Angol and Chol-Chol, according to a statement released today by the Mapuche Coordinator of Autonomous Organizations of Santiago (Chile).

Two spokespeople for the Coordinator of Relatives travelled to the prison of the Araucanía to verify this last minute information, to be confirmed this afternoon.

Also today, the Mapuche community members jailed in Angol were again to receive the visit of Archbishop Ricardo Ezzati and a meeting was set for this Thursday at 11:00am between their spokespeople and the President of the Supreme Court, Milton Juica.

Meanwhile, the health of the strikers is getting complicated. Felipe Huenchullán, admitted to the Victoria Hospital, suffered a cardiac arrhythmia which he is presently recovering from.

Huenchullán has already faced repeated health problems. "I do not know how much more I will resist," he said yesterday, after being stabilized by hospital staff.

"I'm doing pretty badly. I do not know if it is because they are attempting to threaten or scare me but here in the hospital they have refused to release the real state of my health. The doctors do not want to address the issue with me to avoid this from affecting me psychologically, but this is my right. I think I'm very weak now. The other day I was given 48 hours to enter a state of unconsciousness. I do not know how much more I will resist," he said.

Today, Wednesday the mobilizations in support of the cause (Mapuche political prisoners)  continue in Chile and the world. In Santiago, Mapuche community members and supporters will march again at 19:30 from the Ahumada Boulevard towards the Plaza de Armas.
