VANCOUVER - 24 hour-hunger strike for the Aboriginal Front Door Society at Main and Hastings. The society is facing a funding crisis from the Vision dominated city council. Taking part are Victor Thompson and Big Fire Woman, who said "the aim is to raise awareness of our aboriginal brothers and sisters in the neighbourhood - we don't want to see another aboriginal organization go down."

"Too often we turn a blind eye to what's going on around us - but if we can all take just five minutes a day for compassion for our brothers and sisters we can make this beautiful community even more beautiful, " Big Fire Woman added.
