Continental Day of Action Against Canadian Mega Resource Extraction
"600 mining companies are housed within five blocks"
The Mining Justice Alliance and Vancouverites concerned about the impact of the city’s mining corporations participated in the Continental Day of Action Against Canadian Canadian Mega Resource Extraction, August 1 at 4:30 PM outside GOLDCORP’s corporate headquarters at 666 Burrard St.
Vancouver is a haven to half of the world’s mining transnationals with close to 1000 locating their headquarters in the city.
Outside one of the city’s most notorious corporations, the Mining Justice Alliance established a memorial to courageous opponents of Vancouver-owned mines who have been executed in the past few years.
