COAST SALISH TERRITORY - More than 1,000 noisy protesters marched through downtown Vancouver tonight to 'welcome' the Enbridge Pipeline Review Panel hearings  to the city.

The noise demo was on hand outside the Wall Centre Sheraton hotel as the Vancouver portion of the hearings began. The event was organized by Rising Tide Vancouver.

Police presence was heavy, with more than 30 guarding the pipeline hearings from the public.
