NO PUBLIC PARKING

In a move that the Toronto Police couldn't explain legally, people entering Allan Gardens public park today for an anti-G20 rally and march had all their bags checked. Those refusing the illegal search were not allowed in. Among the things confiscated were picket sticks, goggles, fruit juice and a pair of cycling gloves. Asked for a list of "restricted" items, one cop explained that he and his colleagues "don't have a clue."
