DOWNTOWN EASTSIDE - More than 2,000 friends, family members and supporters marched through the Downtown Eastside to commemorate the thousands of missing and murdered women in Canada since the 1970s.
This year's event marked the 20th annual memorial march. Elders stopped along the march route where murdered or disappeared women were last seen or were found. The march also stopped outside the Vancouver Police Department - currently under investigation for lack of action related to missing and murdered women.
