México, 15 de Septiembre: Ni independencia, ni democracia.
Provocar la muerte de más de 52 mil personas en cinco años no es un asunto de asesinato sino de política de Estado. El pueblo de México no pidió una guerra, lo pidieron los intereses económicos y políticos del gobierno de Estados Unidos. La lucha contra el narcotráfico en México se ha convertido en una forma de limpieza social que pretende eliminar a los pobres y que beneficia a los intereses estadounidenses.
Felipe Calderón, el actual Presidente de México, es sólo una de las caras visibles en esta nueva forma de terrorismo de Estado. Detrás de esta guerra están los dueños del dinero, quienes con su poder económico influyen en las decisiones del gobierno y en quienes hacen política en México, es decir, la clase política y la clase empresarial mexicana y extranjera. Son hombres y mujeres que con los privilegios de su estatus social, pueden “lavar” en secreto miles de millones de dólares producto de los negocios ilegales de los cárteles del crimen organizado. Se trata de mafiosos disfrazados de gente decente que controlan empresas y dominan la banca en México. Estos capos de la clase privilegiada destinan fortunas millonarias en campañas publicitarias y de relaciones públicas para crear una imagen manufacturada y distorsionada de ellos y de sus negocios en los medios de comunicación. La mafia mexicana opera desde el Cartel de Los Pinos, que es la organización criminal más peligrosa que existe en México y cuyos jefes tienen el control del gobierno, el poder político, económico, informático, policiaco y militar del país. Ellos son los encargados de colocar y destituir a gobernantes y legisladores según sus intereses económicos y de poder, son quienes eligen a los asesores, consultores y gerentes administrativos que impulsan el modelo económico neoliberal que impera a escala global.
Este esquema es una maquinaria de corrupción y explotación económica, donde una minoría continúa enriqueciéndose por encima de las mayorías. Son los que impulsan el remate de las empresas estatales, la privatización de los servicios públicos, el recorte de empleos, el aumento del costo de los servicios y de los impuestos para empobrecer más a las mayorías.
Son quienes influyen en la aprobación de leyes y reformas constitucionales que actualmente están facilitando aún más la privatización y venta-remate de los recursos naturales del territorio mexicano en medio del caos y la violencia.
¿Tendremos que esperar hasta que el problema toque a la puerta de la casa de cada uno de nosotros para indignarnos o es que no ha llegado el momento de perder el cinismo, la apatía y el miedo, y decir “¡ya basta!”? ¿Qué clase de país les será heredado a las futuras generaciones de mexicanos si para el gobierno y los ricos hoy es aceptable que formen
Grupos paramilitares en lugar de combatir la pobreza?
¿Acaso representa algún beneficio para el pueblo de México la intervención ya no tan secreta de los cuerpos de élite del ejército de Estados Unidos que están invadiendo estratégicamente con agentes de inteligencia, mercenarios y sicarios, propiciando la muerte de nuestros connacionales? ¿Queremos que México se convierta en el Afganistán de Latinoamérica?
Las fiestas de “Independencia” y otros eventos supuestamente patrióticos que
organiza el Consulado Mexicano en Vancouver, teniendo como patrocinadores a las empresas mineras Gold Corp y First Majestic Silver entre otras corporaciones son una gran ofensa para los pueblos indígenas y campesinos de México. Las comunidades se han visto engañadas por las falsas promesas de creación de empleos cuando lo único que dejan estas empresas son graves impactos ambientales y hasta asesinatos perpetrados
por grupos armados al servicio de las trasnacionales.
Infórmate, organízate y lucha por construir Justicia Social y hacer valer nuestros derechos humanos.

Neither Independence, nor Democracy.
To bring about the death of more than 52 thousand people in five years is not a matter of murder but of State policy. The people of Mexico did not ask for a war, it was required by the economic and political interests of the United States government. The fight against drug trafficking in Mexico has become a form of social cleansing that aims at eliminating the poor to benefit the interests of the Unite States.
Felipe Calderón, the current President of Mexico, is only one of the visible faces in this new form of State terrorism. Behind this war are the business class, the owners of wealth, whose economic power influences the government's decisions and those who make policy in Mexico, that is to say, the political class and the Mexican and foreign business class. They are men and women whose social status’ privilege enables them to secretly "launder" thousands of millions of dollars of illegal businesses of the organized crime cartels. They are gangsters disguised as decent people who have control of companies and dominate the bank in Mexico.
These chieftains of the business class invest millionaire fortunes in advertising and public relations campaigns to create a manufactured and distorted image for themselves and their businesses in the mass media. The Mexican Mafia operates from the Cartel of Los Pinos, the most dangerous criminal organization that exists in Mexico and whose bosses have control of the government, of the political, economic, media, police and military power of the country. They are the ones in charge of appointing and dismissing governors and legislators according to their economic and power interests, they are the ones who choose the advisers, consultants and administrative managers who drive the Neoliberal economic model that reigns on a global scale. This scheme is a machinery of corruption and economic exploitation, where a minority continues to enrich themselves on the back of the majorities. They are the ones who push for the fire-sell of state companies, the privatization of public services, the elimination of jobs, and the increase in the cost of services and of taxes to impoverish even more each day the majority of citizens. They exert influence in the approval of laws and constitutional reforms which today facilitate even more the privatization and sale of the natural resources of Mexico’s territory in the midst of chaos and violence.
Will we have to wait until the problem knocks on to the door and the personal lives of each one of us to become infuriated? Or has the time arrived for all of us to rid ourselves of our cynicism, our apathy and fear, and to say out loud “enough is enough!” What kind of country will we leave for future generations of Mexicans, if today for the government and the wealthy elite it is acceptable to create paramilitary groups instead of fighting poverty?
Would it perhaps bring about some benefit for the Mexican people the now not so secret intervention of the United States' elite army troops which are strategically invading with mercenaries and hired goons, causing the death of our conationals? Do we want Mexico to become the Afghanistan of Latin America?
This September the 15th of 2011 there is nothing to celebrate and much to change.
We can begin by saying No! To the festive farce organized in Vancouver by the Mexican Consulate around the anniversary of Mexico's Independence.
The celebrations of “Independence” and other supposedly patriotic events that the Mexican Consulate in Vancouver organizes, with the sponsorship of the mining companies Gold Corp and First Majestic Silver among other corporations are a great offense for the indigenous peoples and peasants of Mexico. These communities have been deceived by the false promises of job creation when all that is left behind by these companies are serious environmental impacts and even murders perpetrated by armed groups at the service of these transnational corporations.
Inform yourselves, organize and fight to build Social Justice and to make our human
rights count.
