UBC, Land Theft and Gentrification: Teach-in at Robson Square

Sumayya Kassamali from the Vancouver Community Mobilization Network explored the University of British Columbia's role as a perpetrator and enforcer of land theft and gentrification.

Kassamali's talk was part of a teach-in at Robson Square on May 13. UBC at Robson Square is one of the most corporate university sites in Vancouver, and since the 2010 Olympics in February has allegedly been sold to General Electric and renamed GE Place.
