Housing activists and their supporters reclaimed Athletes Village in a carefully planned action on Saturday afternoon. The False Promises at False Creek rally disrupted the open house event, and made the demands of poor and homeless people in Vancouver impossible for investors to ignore.

Thanks again to the VMC for this excellent coverage of an extremely important event in Vancouver and the larger anti-poverty and anti-globalization struggle worldwide. No other media outlet has covered the story in this detail or with this sort of care for the essential issues.
