A group of residents from the Fraser Street Homeless Shelter have set up tents to squat at the alley entrance of the shelter. Today these people expressed their desire to have this action grow into something larger. Support from the community is needed!

Vancouver, BC -- The Howe St. shelter (1442 Howe Street) was set to be closed down by the City and Province today at 11am, kicking people onto the street with nowhere else to go or, worse, to bug-infested SROs.
