Surrey BC coal export forum

- 9:00pm
Monday March 11 2013

Venue: Surrey City Centre Library

Are you concerned about plans to bring 4 coal trains per day through White Rock, Delta and Surrey, to and from a new coal port on the Fraser River? Please come out to the Surrey City Centre Library Room 418 next Monday March 11 at 7 pm to meet others who share your concerns and to find out what you can do about it.

The Port plans to ship up to 8 million tonnes of coal per year from a new coal port on the Fraser River, by barge to Texada, and then by ship to Asia. Increased train traffic is bad news for local communities.  Increased coal export is bad news for the climate. The pressure is building, and if we work together we can stop these plans.

The Surrey City Centre Library is Skytrain accessible.
