BURNABY - Close to 100 boisterous supporters were on hand outside the Burnaby Family Services detention centre Saturday showing support for Tamil women and children being held by immigration authorities. The crowd spent an hour blowing horns, banging pot and pans and waving towards the building where the Tamils are incarcerated.

No One is Illegal-Vancouver hosted the rally to let the refugees know they are not alone and to demand their immediate release.  492 Tamils have been held in detention since arriving on the West Coast a month ago.
