Over the past bunch of months I've been reading as many cables from the Wikileaks Cablegate release as I can. Mostly I try and read the ones about Latin America, and I have a list where I post updates on these cables on an irregular basis.

A little while ago Wikileaks dumped a load of cables about Canada.

I've not gotten through them all, but below is a little sample of some of the cables I've come across recently regarding Canada.

Within Canada, APTN has definitely been doing the most interesting work around the Cablegate release.

In addition to the below, there's also some pretty interesting cables that reference anarchists with relation to the 2010 Olympics, which can be viewed here.

bit.ly ?

Why not directly use the wikileaks site link?  It tells people where the link is going, is easier to remember, and helps both wikileaks and this article show up higher in searches.  Also, whoever is running the bit.ly site is harvesting a goldmine of tracking information.

because

a valid question. the reason is because i post all of these on my twitter and the cablegate url is way too long. if you click a bit.ly site using a chrome browser though you can ssee where it is going.
