Hello. We are two registered acupuncturists trained in a protocol developed by the National Acupuncture Detox Association (NADA), which uses ear acupuncture. It’s simple and can treat a large number of people effectively, at the same time, sitting in chairs fully clothed. The NADA protocol is used with excellent results for the treatment of post-traumatic stress, giving people immediate relief from anxiety, anger, depression and insomnia, and interrupting the cycles of unresolved trauma. It is widely used with war veterans and survivors of natural disasters. Done in groups, the community acupuncture can help break the isolation often experienced after traumatic events. Healing in a community environment is especially beneficial when trauma has affected the whole community. When the entire group feels calm and quiet, hope, determination and resiliency rise powerfully within it. Acupuncture is very effective in treating the effects of physical and emotional trauma, in a subtle way that does not involve lengthy discussion or reenactment of events. All one needs to do is simply receive, and be open to, regular gentle acupuncture treatment. Additionally, injuries sustained, and disrupted eating and sleeping cycles can also be addressed. Basically, acupuncture is a profoundly amazing healing tool and we want to say THANK YOU to folks coming back from Toronto by offering some much-needed relief and comfort after severe trauma. Group sessions will take place three days a week for three weeks, beginning on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Consistent participation is recommended for optimal results. Exact dates, times and location TBA. To be notified, please contact acupuncturiste@yahoo.ca
