On April 10 the Coalition to Build a Better BC organized a rally outside the Vancouver Art Gallery to bring awareness to government funding cuts to critical programs. Speakers at the event focused not only on social program cuts, but on a wide range of issues from college tuition fee increases to women's rights to elderly care shortfalls.

Vancouver Rape Relief's involvement at the rally
Great rally, but why have Vancouver Rape Relief talking about women's issues when they went to court for the right to discriminate against transgender and transsexual women? It was a let down to see them represented in "building a better BC" when they contributing to the systemic oppression that is happening within this province.
