Rally against flotilla massacre
A Rally was held in downtown Vancouver Monday in response to news of the massacre of humanitarian aid activists by Israel on the flotilla to Gaza. Another rally is planned for Tuesday at 6pm outside the Main branch of the Vancouver Public Library at Georgia and Hamilton.

The boat was told it could not go through the blockade to enter Gaza (told this by both Egypt and Israel) - due to a fear that they were carrying wearpons. According to international law, any boat can be boarded if it is suspected that they carry weaponry or pose harm to the area.
All the boats needed to do was enter via the port in Ashdod where the so-called humanatarians would escort their own goods to Gaza. There were 6 boats travelling together. 5 co-operated and let the soldiers aboard to search. They were all warned before being borded. When the soldiers borded the 6th boat - 1 at time, via a rope from helicopter - they were brutally attacked with metal pipes and chairs. Look for the video footage - it's disgusting. Beyond the attack, there was a full stock of weapons found on the unboat, as suspected. I'm fairly confident in saying, if there was nothing on board to be found - the "activists" would have let the soldiers on board to search.
Lastly - if the Israeli army wanted to attack the ships - i can assure you they would not have done so by boarding the ship un-armed 1 man at a time. Think about it. We're talking about one of the most well defended countries in the world.
Rally for the side that was actually under attack. The 18year old soldiers who were brutally beaten while trying to peacefully search a boat for weaponry.
