VANCOUVER - City officials brought in police and city crews today to remove tents and belongings set up outside the now closed Fraser Emergency Shelter. People have been sleeping in tents set up in an empty parking lot behind the shelter since Friday.
Housing minister Rich Coleman claimed the shelter isn't needed because residents have all been housed. Shelter operators say if the doors were open the shelter would be full every night.
