Lubicon Cree Oppose TransCanada Pipeline

TransCanada Pipelines is an official supplier to the 2010 Games. In 1988, the Lubicon Cree organized a boycott of the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. They have fought oil & gas as well as logging industries since the 1980s.

Best Place on Earth? Not for Indigenous Peoples...

While the BC government proclaims the province to be the 'best place on earth' and have adopted this slogan for the tourism industry, Native peoples continue to live in 'Third World' conditions even as we approach the 1-year countdown to the 2010 Olympics.
