Local Artist's Graphic 'Statements' About 2010 Olympics

Corey Rollins has created two graphics on the 2010 Winter Olympics which he has sent to No2010.com. Although he downplays their significance, they are critical commentary about real social issues associated with the 2010 Olympics. One piece shows the three Olympic mascots injured and bruised, requiring hospital treatment, with the slogan 'Healthcare Before Olympics'. This highlights government choices about what to prioritize, healthcare or a five ring circus?

The second piece also uses a symbol of 2010, the shape of the Inukshuk, in this case with the body parts made up of drug paraphenalia, including a dime bag of weed, a syringe/needle, a strip of synthetic drugs (the piece that looks like lego), and a zippo lighter. This graphic satires both the local drug culture of BC/Vancouver, as well as the drug scandals that plague every Olympics.

Along with the graphics, Corey also has t-shirts which can be ordered through the links below... which might be the real reason he contacted No2010.com. Just kidding, thanks again Corey!
