MEET AND GREET THE PRACTICE RUN!!

Yes, it's true - the Royal Bank 2010 Torch Practice Run arrives in Victoria Thursday morning (May 21). Come on down to Camas tonight (Wednesday) at 5 pm for sign and banner-making. We have some lovely materials - please bring your own ideas, paint, markers, sign materials, tarps, poles, etc. Come on down Wednesday even if you can't
make it Thursday!

As the official Olympic Torch Welcoming Committee, we plan to give this symbol a rousing greeting with songs, speeches, signs and more. Join us on Thursday, 9:30 am at Fort and Douglas St. and bring all your noisemakers for this wonderful occasion.

The Official 2010 Torch Relay begins on October 30 in Victoria, and in the meantime, various Olympic sponsors are running around trying to promote themselves and the Games. Let's give them both the publicity they deserve and remind the authorities that sports events come and sports events go, but free speech is a right.

Thanks so much to everyone for helping to plan this once-in-a-lifetime event. Victoria is a free speech zone!
